Satellites lose in OT: Down 2-0 in best-of-7, Tofield at home Thursday

Tofield Satellites had to over-come several obstacles in coming from behind in game two of its Battle River Hockey League (BRHL) opening round best-of-seven series with Sedgewick Sabres on Saturday evening at Tofield Arena, but ultimately suffered a disappointing 6-5 loss in overtime.

The Tofield Satellites didn’t even need some of its top stars like Captain Brian Tavaroli or Ryan Olson on Saturday as the talented home team destroyed winless Consort Comets 12-2 at Tofield Arena.
The win was the second in a home-and-home series with Consort, with the Satellites winning the previous evening on the road 7-1.

What didn’t the Satellites do right against Daysland North Stars on Wednesday? Despite being outshot nearly two-to-one, Tofield was clearing their zone with ease, winning puck battles tenaciously, and pressuring Daysland with fast breakouts.
