Committee in works to attract and retain health care workers
An Attraction and Retention Committee for Health Care Practitioners is being created and the Village of Ryley needs to be at the table, said Ryley Deputy Mayor Cyndy Heslin.
Deputy Mayor Heslin updated the newly elected council during their first meeting Oct. 24 about a joint effort between Tofield and area community leaders to recruit and retain doctors.
Tofield Chamber gala a Success
The Tofield Chamber of Commerce held its gala Oct. 19 at the Community Hall with about 150 attending.
Although the chamber no longer presents annual awards to the business community, the event featured a catered supper and entertainment, the Dueling Pianos who had the crowd singing, dancing and laughing to the music.

Firearm allegedly pointed at residents along TWP 502
During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 40 calls for service. Included in the calls for service is 5 motor vehicle collision mostly involving animals, and two false alarms.
On Oct. 3 Tofield RCMP responded to a complaint of two youth males at the Guardian Pharmacy.
