First reading passed for rezoning of lands – owners plan multi-lot subdivision

Beaver County Council passed first reading on a rezoning application to change 155 acres from agricultural district to country residential. A public hearing will be held at 11 a.m. in the county office chambers in Ryley on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Tofield mayor throws hat in the ring for P.C. nomination

After successfully capturing three terms in the mayor’s chair, Tofield’s Nabil Chehayeb has set his sights even higher politically. He is the second local candidate to throw his hat in the ring for the Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville P.C. nomination.

Spray park project discussed with builder

Even Tofield Mayor Nabil Chehayeb couldn’t help but comment on the irony of splashing around the idea of a spray park on one of the first blustery winter days of the year last Tuesday.
Yet town council heard from an industry leading manufacturing company about toys, sprays, shooters, and much more during a 40 minute presentation, compliments of Shelley Robinson.
