The Tofield Chamber of Commerce held its gala Oct. 19 at the Community Hall with about 150 attending.
Although the chamber no longer presents annual awards to the business community, the event featured a catered supper and entertainment, the Dueling Pianos who had the crowd singing, dancing and laughing to the music. 
Ryley School held its 22nd Annual Awards Night Oct. 19.
Kathleen Scheu was Master of Ceremonies.
Greetings were brought by Ryley Principal Steve Ionaidis and Beaver County School Board Trustee Rebecca Heiberg.
During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 40 calls for service. Included in the calls for service is 5 motor vehicle collision mostly involving animals, and two false alarms.
On Oct. 3 Tofield RCMP responded to a complaint of two youth males at the Guardian Pharmacy.

Tofield’s Noah Kallichuk, 18, is playing for Fort McMurray Oil Barons this season and he’s up for the challenge.
“I think that my passion for the game and my work ethic has really allowed me to succeed and get as far as I am in hockey.”
