Lindbrook store owner frustrated with several break-ins

After a more recent break-in on Wednesday, March 13, Hemla Wilson, owner of the Lindbrook Tempo gas station, or the Lindbrook store as it is known among the locals has been having trouble to keep the store running. With four break-ins and two failed attempts since Feb. 2018 when she took over the operation and managing the store, Wilson has faced major losses, which has been running her to the ground.

“There have been stolen merchandise and major property damage, with which has come heartache, hardship, and ongoing stress with a lack of sleep,” Wilson said.

One of the older businesses in the area, the store has been serving the community for more than 50 years.

Wilson has owned it since 2003, although she was not around during that entire time.

“A lot of work has gone into its improvements, expansion, and renovations to better serve the community,” Wilson added. “But now I am facing the challenge of keeping the doors open, after being broken into so many times.”

Wilson is at a loss how to constantly secure the premises and ensure to be at peace at night, and not be woken up by another “bad news.” . . . contd.
