ESSAY CONTEST TO SELL THEIR LINDBROOK ACREAGE

When Samantha and Jason Bauer found out that they couldn’t do a raffle to sell off their property after Christmas 2018, they decided to follow the example of Millarville, Alberta property owners who held an essay contest to decide who would get their house.

“A raffle isn’t legal unless you’re a charity,” Samantha Bauer explained.

“So when we heard of the Millarville contest, we decided to give it a try.”

Located north-west of Lindbrook on Wye Road and Rge. Rd. 201, the Bauer property is 17 years old and is on a tranquil dead end road where there’s a lot of wildlife such as elk, moose, deer, etc.
