Tofield’s Dollar Store closes door

This past Monday, July 29, was the last day that owner Deb Tessier saw the inside of the Dollar Store, which has been her ‘second home’ for more than seven-and-a-half years.

Even though the store has been in operation for more than a decade serving the local community, it was only a few years back that Tessier bought it over from her friend to help her out.

“It has been wonderful, and even though we’ve had some minor setbacks from time to time, I couldn’t thank my customers enough for the laughs and stories we’ve shared,” Tessier said. “I’d like to thank my loyal customers, and I will be missing all the conversation and bright smiles.”

Through the years, the Dollar Store has supported fundraisers, giving back to Stollery, Tofield Minor Hockey, and local causes among others. . . . contd.
