Tofield Atom 2 dominate ice, crush opponents in weekend games

Tofield Tier 3 Atoms (13-4-1) lost a 6-3 game at home against Hinton on Saturday. Tofield had the lead twice and the game was tied 2-2 after the middle period but things got out of hand in the third. Lane Dehid scored twice for Tofield, with Jeffrey Mason getting the other goal. Assists went to; Bentley Carson (2a), Declan Girard and Jaxon Trudel.
Tofield Tier 6 Atoms (10-4-2) crushed Fort Sask. 19-2 on Saturday at Tofield Arena. Gabriel Thorson (4g 1a), Austin Schmick (3g 1a), and Carson Kroeker (3g 1a), all had hat tricks. Colton Munson (2g 4a) and Hunter Madro (2g 3a), had 6 and 5-point games respectively. Other scorers were; Steven Cardinal (1g 2a), Gavin Lutz (1g 2a), Jonas Teefy (1g 2a), Logan Kropp (1g 1a), and Karter Waldo (1g). Braydo Crawford got the win in goal. On Sunday against Wetaskiwin at Tofield Arena, the home team pounded out an 11-1 victory. Colton Munson (4g 1a) and Gabriel Thorson (2g 3a) both had 5-point games. Other goal scorers were; Jonas Teefy (2g), Austin Schmick, Steven Cardinal, and Karter Waldo. Assists went to; Carson Kroeker (2a), and Gavin Lutz. David Cardinal got the win in goal.
Tofield Tier 4 Peewees (13-2-3) won a 5-1 game against Leduc at Tofield Arena on Saturday. Jorden Suchy (2g), Carter Olson (1g 1a), Zachery McFadzean (1g 1a), and Parker Stewart-Cantin all scored for Tofield. Colben Pedersen picked up an assist. Jocob Bigney got the win in goal. The team tied Battle River 1-1 on Sunday with Zachery McFadzean scoring for Tofield, assisted by Kowyn Laschowski. Jacob Bigney stopped 25 shots between the Tofield pipes. . . . contd.
