Tofield Atom 1 wins Zone 7 banner, headed to Provincials

Hudson Lungal (#16) got to his 100 points as well.

“We put our team down to want to play in Provincials, which is different from league play; we had to play three rounds in what they call ‘playdown games’ against other teams in our zone and the team that finishes on top wins their zone banner and for us that is Zone 7,” explained Head Coach Rene Girard.

Tofield Atom1 are now headed to provincials, which will be held in Bowden the weekend of March 19-22.

Girard said that most of the team’s success was attributed to their improved work ethic and teamwork. . . . contd.
