Tofield Tier 3 Bantams split two games over the weekend

These are some of the results from the Northern Alberta Interlock Minor Hockey League games held recently.

Tofield Tier 3 Atoms won their first round playoff series against Onoway after two wins last week. At Onoway on Feb. 18, Tofield won a 9-4 game. The teams were tied 3-3 halfway though the game but Tofield took control at that point. Hudson Lungal had a 7-point game for Tofield (4g 3a). Other scorers were; Cale Helfrich (2g), Declan Girard (1g), Cace Hart (1g), Everett Zilkie (1g), Lane Dehid (1a), and Jaxon Turdel (1a). Lane Dehid got the win in goal. On Saturday at Tofield Arena, the home team won a 5-1 game. Hudson Lungal got a hat trick, while Logan Suchy and Baylee Roberts added singles. Assists went to; Declan Girard, Mason Jeffrey and Merek Fritz. Everett Zilkie got the win in goal.

Tofield Tier 6 Atoms lost a two game playoff series against Fox Creek over the weekend. On Saturday at Tofield, the home team lost a 9-8 game. On Sunday at Fox Creek the home team won 7-5. On Saturday at home, Tofield dropped a 7-3 second period lead and allowed six unanswered goals before getting to within one with 3:02 remaining. On Sunday, Tofield fought back to tie the game three times but lost the close 7-5 game. Scoring for Tofield over the weekend were; Jonas Teefy (6g), Colton Munson (2g 3a), Gabriel Thorson (3g 2a), Steven Cardinal (1g 1a), Braydo Crawford (1g 1a), Logan Kropp (1a), and Carson Kroeker (1a). . . . contd.
