Tofield RCMP & K Division issue 30 violation tickets

This past week the Tofield RCMP responded to 46 occurrences, including one false alarm, five traffic complaints, and one motor vehicle collision. The K Division Traffic Unit along with Tofield RCMP members issued 30 violation tickets for various traffic offences.

On July 20, at 10:35 a.m., the Tofield detachment received a complaint of an animal hoarder, where the individual has upwards of 70 horses and some are in ill health. As the matter is out of scope for the RCMP, it was referred to the ASPCA, who are now investigating.

Around 3:05 p.m., a complainant reported the theft of motor vehicle by ex-spouse; the ex-spouse was given the vehicle three months ago by the complainant, however the ex-spouse has yet to return it. Matter is not considered criminal in nature as the property is considered matrimonial and must be resolved in family court. . . . contd.
