Assault in Tofield, victim taken to hospital

The Tofield RCMP responded to 70 occurrences from April 26 to May 2, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were 32 traffic complaints/tickets, two traffic collisions, one suspicious person/vehicle complaints and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On April 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a commercial break and enter in Beaver County. RCMP arrived and found that entry was gained through a fence. While patrolling, RCMP located the suspects and conducted a traffic stop and arrested the occupants who were in possession of catalytic converters stolen in the break and enter. This file is still under investigation.

On April 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a mischief complaint in Holden. RCMP arrived and found that the benches in the Holden Park had been damaged although were able to be fixed without incident. On April 26, Tofield RCMP responded to an uttering threats complaint in Beaver County. RCMP spoke to the complainant who advised that they had spoken to the suspect who made threats to them with violence over the phone. This file is still under investigation. . . . contd.
