Tofield RCMP busy with multiple incidents of domestic disturbance

The Tofield RCMP responded to 43 occurrences from April 19 to 25, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were 19 traffic complaints/tickets, one traffic collision, one suspicious person/vehicle complaints and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On April 20, Tofield RCMP responded to a harassment complaint in Beaver County. RCMP spoke to the complainant who advised that a previous domestic partner was sending harassing texts and messages. RCMP reviewed the communication and found that no criminal offence occurred and provided options for the complainant moving forward.

On April 20, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspected residential break and enter in progress in Beaver County. RCMP attended and found that a family member had attended the residence, surprising the rest of the family. No criminal occurrence.

On April 20, Tofield RCMP responded to a theft of farm machinery from Beaver County. RCMP attended and spoke to the complainant who advised that a 2004 310 John Deere backhoe was stolen from the property. This file is still under investigation. . . . contd.
