Tofield RCMP attends to impaired driving complaint
The Tofield RCMP responded to 74 occurrences from Oct. 18 to 24, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were 32 traffic complaints/tickets, 14 suspicious person/vehicle complaints, four wellbeing checks, one 911 complaints/false alarms, one motor vehicle collision and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.
On Oct. 18, Tofield RCMP responded to three related mischief complaints in Holden. RCMP spoke to the complainant who advised that his vehicle tires had been slashed. RCMP located a witness who was able to provide further information and identification of the suspect. Tofield RCMP with the assistance of K Division Police Dog Service Unit and K Division Traffic Unit safely located the accused and was subsequently arrested without further incident. The subject was later transported to the Ponoka hospital for assessment.
On Oct. 18, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious person complaint in Beaver County. The complainant advised that a male was walking along Hwy. 14 and requested a ride to Tofield. RCMP attended the scene and in the process of identifying the male found that he was on numerous court imposed conditions which he was now breaching. Tofield RCMP arrested and charged Christopher Paul Bouchard (38), of Elk Point, with the following: Fail to comply with condition of Release Order x 6. Christopher Paul Bouchard was held for a judicial hearing and was remanded into custody to appear in Wainright Provincial Court on Oct. 21. . . . contd.
