Tofield business broken into, fabrication equipment stolen

This past week the Tofield RCMP responded to 124 occurrences, including two false alarms, 14 traffic complaints, and three motor vehicle collisions. The K Division Traffic Unit along with Tofield RCMP members issued 61 violation tickets for various traffic offences.

On July 27 at 9:45 a.m., a complainant reported their elderly parent had answered a phone call indicating that they had a virus on their computer. The caller was given access to the computer and subsequently accessed funds from their bank account. The victim’s bank is in the process of refunding the money.

At 6:09 p.m., RCMP was called about a dispute over unsecured livestock. Matter’s mediated as it’s a civil issues case . . . contd.
