Trouble with trivets
Hubby asked my help in coming up with ideas for Christmas gifts he could build this year. He likes to make something small to give me and the other women in his life – those closely related to his grandsons. He’s done a series of boxes – jewelry, puzzle and what-nots – but a person can only use so many boxes, even if carefully crafted, so it’s time for a new idea.
One day the word trivet popped into my mind (which had been vacant until then), so we checked to make sure I had the right word for a small metal or wooden stand that protects counter tops and tables from hot pots and casserole dishes. I did, despite our sons trying to make us think I actually meant Tribble.
If you don’t know . . . contd.
