Sometimes I Just Want Colour
We have a brand new colour laser printer perched like a big black crow atop a cabinet in the kitchen. The old one sat in the family room for years, even after it stopped working; we have a black and white printer and were happy enough with it so didn’t bother repairing its more colourful brother. Having to run downstairs to get the print every time we used it had lost its appeal as well.
After I mentioned wanting to print in colour once in a while, and could we fix the old printer, Hubby checked it out. He came back with pages the colour of the inside of a blood orange. Apparently when he tried printing test pages the magenta paint thingy – cartridge? – blew up and sprayed magenta over everything. He cleaned it up but getting it working properly again, plus replacing the four or five colour cartridges for over $100 each-well, you do the math. . . . contd.
