Local fitness studio owner looks back in time
It was 12 years ago when Leah Todd, owner of Figure It Out Fitness studio put out a fitness/training ad in Tofield Mercury, leading to a serpentine queue outside her then working space in Tofield, and through the years she has only been happy with that decision – making Tofield home.
“At the time I’d been promoting an exercise DVD throughout Canada that I’d launched, and some local ladies wanted me to teach them a master class privately, which led us to looking for spaces in town,” Todd said. “In 2007 this building became available and since then there’s been no turning back.”

Located off 52nd Ave., Todd explained that often residents are unable to find her facility as it isn’t on Main Street, but nestled in a quiet residential area, which her clients and studio users have grown to love.
When the economic downturn happened, Todd thought out-of-the-box and introduced kids’ classes and other unique fitness activities such as Pound It and Zumba.

“I’ve always been interested in fitness, but it wasn’t until I started working out in a gym that I realized health and fitness was not only about how you looked but how you felt,” Todd remarked. . . . contd.
