First responders play Critters to raise more than $5K for Tofield Handivan
It was a momentous event for Tofield and area as residents and visitors packed the stands to see their First Responders playing against the CFCW Critters on Thursday evening, March 5.

A fundraising event slated to bring in some support for the Tofield Handibus, the evening kept up to its hype, raising in the excess of $5,000 after expenses.

“We don’t have the exact number yet, but it was a huge success!” said Jim Warren, President of the Tofield Handibus Society. “All proceeds will be going towards the operational and maintenance costs of the bus, which has been a part of the community for a very long time; it’s an old bus.”

Warren said that there was an estimated number of 400 people at least who came to see their friends and family play the Critters. . . . contd.
