Weird Hiccups!
Our kids were here for Easter. We hadn’t seen them in the flesh since some time before the Christmas that never was. They haven’t changed, I’m still deciding if that’s a good thing, except that our youngest (he’s not that young anymore) seems to have lost his hair stylist’s number. I didn’t comment; I was that happy to have them within hugging distance.
There were a few weird hiccups throughout the day, mostly with the meal. I did a ham and my potato salad and the lime/pineapple jellied salad that has become a must at every major holiday meal. I can change the turkey to ham or ribs or a casserole and the spuds to scalloped or cheesy Texas hash browns and Hubby can even bake different pies as long as pumpkin is one of them. But the jellied salad never changes. It was a sad day when our grandson, who loves the salad, especially because he’s never been allowed Jell-O except as a dessert, had to stop eating it because his girlfriend is allergic to pineapple. Poor girl!
One of the weird things involved the ham . . . contd.
