What does a ‘laundry guru’ do? Well, according to an article I just read, he eats, sleeps and breathes laundry all day, every day, and has done so since he first learned how to do his own – at the tender age of ten. He’s so obsessed with laundry – and the fact that all of us have been doing it wrong – that he’s made it his mission in life to make doing laundry not just faster, cheaper and kinder to the environment but more fun, too.

Do your laundry right and not only will your tightie-whities be super-whities, but it will improve your life, the planet and possibly even your soul. (Wow. Who knew?) So stop thinking of laundry as a tedious chore and see it as cathartic.

Now, I haven’t done our laundry for a little over two years, when Hubby had to take over because I couldn’t use the stairs down to our lower level – the basement – where the washer and dryer live. I can’t say I’ve missed it and since he hasn’t complained or even hinted that the stairs and I are now friends, I haven’t offered. Hey, if something works. . . . contd.
