Making Something Out of Nothing

Fair warning – this column is about nothing. After wasting considerable time searching the part of my brain where ideas for something to write about are usually stored I have come up empty. So read on at your peril.

They probably moved to bird feeders that are kept topped up rather than those left empty for short periods in the hope that they’ll clean up the seed on the ground. They are cute but have the table manners of pigs at a trough. And the ones that have stuck with us are really boring.

I considered using our health as a hot topic but, let’s face it, it just isn’t. In a nutshell, we’re old, creaky and apt to fall apart at any moment, and even we’re bored to death with that, so, on to other things, like the weather. . . . contd.
